Want to Be More Creative? Take a Nap

It’s been a lazy day for me, recuperating from an intense book editing project I wrapped up late last night.  A little tweeting here, a little Facebooking there, updating LinkedIn and making a few calls to try to set up marketing events for my new book’s  launch the week after next.  I knew I needed to do a new blog post, but couldn’t seem to muster the energy to come up with an idea.  All I really wanted to do was take a nap.  I resisted the urge, compromising by lounging on my bed with my laptop, while I set out to find a topic for my blog post.  Since my brain remained stubbornly empty, in desperation I turned to my favorite source of inspiration: YouTube.  Within a few minutes, I had found the perfect little video.  Turns out creative problem solving ability goes up significantly following a snooze.  So while you watch this video with all the good news, I’m going to close my eyes and boost my creativity the way nature intended! Yawn…

So what’s your secret for turbo-charging your creative mojo?
